Conflict

When we get triggered, we can explore what is happening beneath it. Together, we look at what the trigger is telling us, so you can meet difficult situations with more understanding and choice.
Conflict isn't the problem. Unheard needs are. I'm Jules, a specialist conflict mediator, and I help people work through disagreements in every kind of dynamic: between colleagues, within teams and organisations, in families, and in one-to-one situations where the conflict is internal. Using a "power with" approach built on cooperation and shared responsibility, together we can turn tension into understanding, and understanding into better relationships and ways of working.
Alongside mediation, I teach foundation courses in Nonviolent Communication for workplaces and individuals. In schools, I bring NVC and anti-bullying projects to help create a positive environment where young people can learn and grow. I also coach leaders and support public speaking and communication in many different settings.
Explore ways we can work togetherWhether you’re navigating a personal conflict, bringing people together or supporting a school or team, we can find a way of working that fits your situation.
When we get triggered, we can explore what is happening beneath it. Together, we look at what the trigger is telling us, so you can meet difficult situations with more understanding and choice.
I also specialise in mediation between internal parts: making room for the different voices, needs and impulses within you. Together, we explore strong reactions and what each part is trying to protect, with the aim of finding more calm, choice and a sense of your own power.
Do you sometimes feel a reaction that seems stronger than the present situation can explain? Some parts may still be responding to difficult experiences from the past, including experiences of trauma. We can listen to them with curiosity, explore what they need now and make room for a different response. Here, power means having more choice in how you act and relate.
I mediate between two or more people in conflict, across a very broad spectrum of situations: from businesses and corporate settings to interpersonal conflicts in families, neighbourhoods and communities, including co-living spaces. It is a space for people to hear one another and explore a way forward.
When a conflict involves several people or a whole group, I facilitate conversations that make room for each perspective and help people explore better ways to communicate together.
I work with schools to develop projects that address bullying and build healthier relationships. The aim is a supportive environment where young people can learn, belong and grow.
Programmes are designed separately for students, for teachers and for parents, ideally covering all three so the whole school community is involved.
“Power with” means creating cooperation through listening, participation and shared responsibility. Together, we explore ways to address conflict and support growth without relying on force or domination.
As a Nonviolent Communication (NVC) trainer, I facilitate workshops for groups, teams and schools. Through conversation and practice, we explore how to express what matters and hear one another with greater efficiency and care.
I blend my background in theatre and drama with communication skills, and can help in many different ways with a very broad spectrum of techniques. Together, we can explore public speaking, leadership and human resources: how to communicate with clarity, lead with care and navigate the relationships at the heart of working with people.
I draw extensively on the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC). Whether I’m supporting an individual, mediating between people or working with a school or organisation, I make space for feelings, needs and different perspectives — and for practical ways to move forward together.
